We are delighted to have been asked by Atlantic Waves to be part of this year's edition of the Experimental Week-end - taking place at St Giles Cripplegate and Purcell Room - by organising the closing event on Sunday 26 November . There is little doubt that this week-end is going to be one of the best musical events London has seen recently. We sincerely hope you will be attending all 3 events which include a majority of world premiere acts and first time performances in the UK.

OREN AMBARCHI (i: http://www.orenambarchi.com/)
Oren Ambarchi is an electronic guitarist and percussionist with longstanding interests in transcending conventional instrumental approaches. Born in Sydney in 1969, he has been performing live since 1986. His work focuses mainly on the exploration of the guitar, "re-routing the instrument into a zone of alien abstraction where it’s no longer easily identifiable as itself. Instead, it’s a laboratory for extended sonic investigation". (The Wire, UK).
Ambarchi's work on harmonics and resonance has led him to define serene spaces of fluid, shifting sound.
His solo releases Suspension and Insulation (Touch, UK), have transcended the guitar into a zone of alien beauty and sonic impossibilities to critical acclaim. He has released his most recent album on Southern Lord, label run by Stephen O'Malley from Sunn0))) with whom he has also appeared during live performances of the post-drone metal duo.
He has performed and recorded with Martin Ng (Australia), Christian Fennesz (Austria), Otomo Yoshihide (Japan), Pimmon (Australia), John Zorn (USA), Voice Crack (Switzerland), Sachiko M (Japan), Keith Rowe (UK), Phill Niblock (USA), Gunter Muller (Switzerland), Evan Parker (UK), Toshimaru Nakamura (Japan) and many more.
